How You Can Be Part of Helping Victims of Autoimmune Encephalitis

Raising money for the International Autoimmune Encephalitis Society helps our fight against Autoimmune Encephalitis and provides immediate support to patients, caregivers and families.

  • You choose when and how you raise money for the International Autoimmune Encephalitis Society.

  • With your help patients, families and caregivers will receive support, advocacy and education from the time of their diagnosis through to entering recovery and rehabilitation. Whether the need is to:

  • support breakthrough research

  • Find an experienced doctor

  • Connect doctors so they can confer on patient’s treatment plans

  • Connect patients with discounted travel and accommodation for medical care

  • Overturning treatment denials, over billing or securing affordable insurance

  • Or simply having the security of belonging to a community with others who are walking the same journey.

      IAES, “Home of the AE Warrior” ™ will meet their needs.

    Here is a yummy FUNdraiser. IAES has designed chocolate bar wrappers with inspirational messages your friends, family, co-workers and fellow students will love.

    • Fits 1.55oz Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar, 1.45oz Hershey’s Dark Chocolate Bar, & 1.6oz Belgian Milk Chocolate Embossed Bar

    Purchase the candy bars. Download and cut out the wrapper. We recommend a sales price of $2 per candy bar. Set a target goal of what you will raise. When you have sold all your candy, deduct the cost of your investment and send IAES your acquired donation via the donation page.

    How about organizing a poker night using AE Trivia Cards, scrabble night, or bingo game?  Are you more inclined to play games on you phone or computer? Incorporate that pass time into a FUNdraiser.

    Other Suggestions

    Create a FUNdraiser on Facebook or Instagram by turning a special day to you into helping someone else in leu of personal gifts.  Birthday, anniversary, weddings, graduations or in memory of a loved one can become a fundraising opportunity.

    Do you Love to Cook or Bake?

    If you love to cook or bake, host a BBQ, dinner party, bake sale or create a cookbook filled with favorite recipes from friends and family. Host a baking contest and have businesses sponsor the baker or company baking team. Ask the company or sponsor to match the total raised. Have attendees taste samples and wager on who they think has the winning dessert. Have a BBQ cook off, or Chili Throw down.  Host a Dinner with a theme that everyone can get behind.

    Do you Belong to a Health Club?

    Yoga Center, Motorcycle club, Sewing Group? Find out about hosting an event at that location. Do you love to run, walk, hike, bowl, golf, fish, rock climb, swim, etc.? Create a FUNdraiser by hosting an event or joining an existing event and have friends and family sponsor you with the goal of beating your personal best.
